Na noite passada, a 15 de setembro, decorreu a 76ª edição dos Prémios Emmy, que voltou a distinguir as melhores produções televisivas. Entre os principais vencedores estiveram “Shogun”, “The Bear” e “Baby Reindeer”, embora outras séries também tenham brilhado. Na edição de 2024, “Hacks” foi coroada como a melhor série de comédia, enquanto “True Detective: Night Country” e “Slow Horses” também foram premiadas.

 

A cerimónia, realizada em Los Angeles, quase confirmou as expectativas ao premiar as produções mais nomeadas. “Shogun” destacou-se como o grande vencedor da noite, arrecadando várias estatuetas nas categorias de drama, com 18 prémios, incluindo os Creative Arts Emmys. Apesar disso, “Baby Reindeer” também se impôs, conquistando quatro dos principais Emmys. Contudo, na categoria de comédia, “The Bear”, que liderava com 11 nomeações, viu “Hacks” ser premiada como melhor série de comédia, apesar de “The Bear” ter vencido em várias categorias de interpretação.

 

 

“Shogun” levou para casa os Emmy de Melhor Série Dramática, Melhor Ator Principal numa Série Dramática (Hiroyuki Sanada), Melhor Atriz Principal numa Série Dramática (Anna Sawai), e Melhor Realização em Série Dramática (Frederick E.O. Toye). Esta série, falada em japonês, não só quebrou recordes de prémios numa só temporada, como também se tornou a primeira série em língua não inglesa a vencer o Emmy de Melhor Série Dramática, consagrando 2024 como o ano de “Shogun”.

 

 

A cerimónia foi apresentada pela dupla de pai e filho, Eugene e Dan Levy, conhecidos pela série de comédia “Schitt’s Creek”. Sem grandes momentos políticos, os Emmy 2024 tiveram discursos emocionantes, como o de Richard Gadd, criador e protagonista de “Baby Reindeer”. Ao receber o prémio de Melhor Roteiro por Minissérie, Gadd relembrou a sua experiência traumática de há 10 anos, que inspirou a adaptação para a série da Netflix. “Nunca pensei que conseguiria ultrapassar o que me aconteceu, mas hoje, uma década depois, estou aqui com um prémio na maior cerimónia de televisão”, afirmou, num dos momentos mais marcantes da noite. Outro destaque foi Jodie Foster, que ganhou o seu primeiro Emmy, como Melhor Actriz numa Série Limitada, Antologia ou Telefilme, pelo seu papel em "True Detective: Night Country". A vencedora de dois Oscars superou concorrentes de peso como Sofia Vergara, Brie Larson, Juno Temple e Naomi Watts, tendo anteriormente sido nomeada como realizadora e produtora.

 

 

Para além dos prémios, as atenções estiveram também viradas para a passadeira vermelha, onde as celebridades desfilaram com looks elegantes. A cerimónia, que ocorreu pela segunda vez em 2024 após o adiamento do evento em 2023, teve como anfitriões a dupla elegante de pai e filho, Eugene e Dan Levy, que abriram a passadeira vermelha em fatos pretos sofisticados. Entre os destaques de moda, Selena Gomez brilhou num vestido personalizado da Ralph Lauren, adornado com cristais, enquanto Aja Naomi King impressionou com um mini-vestido rosa com uma cauda deslumbrante.
